Welcome to the website of the Christian Church of Woodland (Disciples of Christ). We are a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada, a Christian movement that began on the American frontier as an effort to unite all Christians on the basis of a simple confession of faith in Jesus Christ as savior and Lord. We are a congregation of about 155 active members who are committed to worshiping God and serving the world in the compassionate way of Jesus. You will find on this website information about our beliefs, ministries, study groups, worship times, office hours, our staff and how to contact us and locate us.

Summer Camp for children, youth and adults

This summer the Christian Church of Northern California-Nevada is offering camps for every age group at our camp called the Community of the Great Commission (CGC).  Junior Camp (for children completing grades 3-5) is June 24-30; Chi Rho Camp (completed grades 6-8) is also June 24-30; CYF (completed grades 9-12) is July 1-7; Grandparents and Me (children 5 years through completing second grade) has two sessions–June 30-July 2 and July 4-6.  Adult Camp for all adults (18 years old and up) is June 7-10.  For more information and costs, please call the church office, 662-9356

Pastor’s Sabbatical–July through September 2012

Every five years our church gives our pastor, Larry Love, a three month extended leave (sabbatical) for study, rest and renewal.  Larry will be taking sabbatical for the summer months, July-September.  We are in the process of securing pastoral leadership for Larry’s time away.  All of the church’s regular worship services and ministries will continue during the sabbatical time.
